Pre-Probiotics
Gutchamp contains Pre-Probiotics. Probiotics are live microorganisms that are intended to have health benefits when consumed. Probiotic bacteria plays a crucial role in maintaining gut microbiota homeostasis, strengthening of gut barrier function and host immune responses.
Probiotics can combat gastrointestinal side effects of the medication and reduce the bacterial growth leading to yeast infections.
Prebiotics are helpful in increasing the helpful bacteria already in the gut that reduce disease risk and improve general well being. Prebiotic fiber is not as fragile as probiotic bacteria because it is not affected by heat, stomach acid, or time nor does the fermentation process differ depending on the individual.
COMPOSITION:

MODE OF ACTION:
PREBIOTICS
Fermentation is the main mechanism of action by which prebiotics are used by beneficial bacteria in the colon. Both Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus are bacterial populations which use saccharolytic metabolism to break down substrates. The bifidobacterial genome contains many genes that encode for carbohydrate-modifying enzymes as well as genes that encode for carbohydrate uptake proteins. The presence of these genes indicates that Bifidobacteria contain specific metabolic pathways specialized for the fermentation and metabolism of plant-derived oligosaccharides, or prebiotics. These pathways in Bifidobacteria ultimately produce short chain fatty acids, which have diverse physiological roles in body functions.
PROBIOTICS
Probiotic mechanisms of action include enhancement of the epithelial barrier, increased adhesion to intestinal mucosa, and concomitant inhibition of pathogen adhesion, competitive exclusion of pathogenic microorganisms, production of anti-microorganism substances and modulation of the immune system.
