Benibuz (Benidipine) is used in the treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure) and Angina (heart-related chest pain). Benibuz is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It regulates the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and reducing the pressure on them, thereby making it easier for the heart to pump more blood throughout the body. It is a triple L-, T-, and N-type calcium channel blocker. It is reno- and cardioprotective.
Benidipine 4 mg Tablet / Benidipine 8 mg Tablet
MODE OF ACTION:
Benidipine is a long acting dihydropyridine Ca channel blocker blocking L, N & T channels. It exerts its antianginal, antihypertensive action through blocking the influx of Ca ions through voltage gated L-type Ca channels to the peripheral vascular smooth muscle cells, Coronary smooth muscle cells and to the myocardial cells. Therefore, it causes dilation of vascular endothelium and decreases peripheral resistance.
