Isosorbide Dinitrate, Hydralazine Hydrochloride
Auxipress Plus is a synergistic dual-action vasodilator therapy specifically formulated to improve cardiovascular outcomes in patients with heart failure (HF) and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) on maintenance dialysis. It combines Isosorbide Dinitrate, a potent venodilator that reduces preload, with Hydralazine Hydrochloride, a direct arteriolar vasodilator that decreases afterload.
This unique combination improves hemodynamics, enhances cardiac output, and lowers the risk of cardiovascular death and sudden cardiac death in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). By restoring optimal preload and afterload balance, Auxipress Plus supports better myocardial oxygen utilization, reduces left ventricular strain, and provides sustained improvement in cardiac performance and survival.
COMPOSITION:
Isosorbide Dinitrate 20 mg, Hydralazine Hydrochloride 37.5 mg
MODE OF ACTION:
Isosorbide Dinitrate acts by releasing nitric oxide (NO), leading to venodilation and reduced venous return (preload), which decreases myocardial oxygen demand and relieves cardiac congestion.
Hydralazine Hydrochloride directly relaxes arteriolar smooth muscle by reducing intracellular calcium, thereby lowering peripheral resistance (afterload) and improving cardiac output.
Together, these provide balanced vasodilation, venous and arterial which reduces both preload and afterload, enhances stroke volume, and optimizes left ventricular performance. This combination has been shown to significantly improve outcomes and reduce all-cause mortality in HFrEF, especially in patients with CKD or on dialysis, where conventional therapies may have limitations.
