Amino acids are the protein-building blocks of the body that are important for the healthy growth and development of cells, muscles and tissues and perform important functions such as providing cell structure.
AUXIMIN 7% is used to treat the deficiency of amino acids in the body. Amino acid deficiencies and imbalances strong lead to appearance of signs and symptoms like low energy level, anxiety, allergic symptoms, and loss of muscle mass. Auximin contains essential amino acids in injectable form. It corrects negative nitrogen balance and improves amino acid utilization for protein synthesis. It is also helpful in treatment of cachexia, malnutrition and improves survival rate in CKD patients
Amino acids (7% w/v) 250/500ml injection
MODE OF ACTION:
Delays CRF (chronic renal failure) progression – by correcting the plasma concentration of EAA (essential amino acids) leading to sufficient protein synthesis & serum albumin regulation.
Reduces dialysis frequency by substituting protein lost in HD/CAPD/PD.
Less load on kidneys by correcting accumulation of nitrogen metabolites.
Prevention of wasting syndrome by proteolysis and -ve nitrogen balance prevention.
- Acute and chronic renal insufficiency in peritoneal hemofiltration
- For the compensation of amino acid losses during and after dialysis or hemofiltration
2.5g amino acid/kg/day for infants up to 10kg
For infants and children larger than 10kg
The total daily dose of amino acids should be up to 25g amino acids/day
for the first 10kg of body weight plus 1.0 to 1.25g amino acid for each kg of
body weight over 10kg
