Vildagliptin

Vildatin is an oral medicine prescribed to patients suffering from type 2 diabetes. It is an anti-hyperglycaemic agent of DDP-4 class of drugs.

Vildatin is a drug that helps maintain balanced blood sugar levels in the body. It is used to treat Type 2 diabetes, heart disorders and polycystic ovary syndrome. Vildatin works by decreasing the amount of glucose produced by the liver.

MODE OF ACTION:

Vildagliptin is an oral anti-hyperglycemic agent of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor class of drugs. Vildagliptin inhibits the inactivation of GLP-1 and GIP by DPP-4, allowing GLP-1 and GIP to potentiate the secretion of insulin in the beta cells and suppress glucagon release by the alpha cells of the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas.
