Tapentadol
Tapentadol is in a class of medications called opiate (narcotic) analgesics. It works by changing the way the brain and nervous system respond to pain. Tapentadol extended-release tablets are used to treat severe neuropathic pain (pain caused by nerve damage) in people who have diabetes. Tapentadol is an orally available, synthetic benzenoid that acts as an agonist for the mu-opioid receptor (MOR) and inhibits the reuptake of noradrenaline, with potential anti-nociceptive activity.
COMPOSITION:
Tapentadol 50mg
MODE OF ACTION:
Upon oral administration, Ultraniche-T binds to the MOR (Mu opioid receptor) which enhances MOR-mediated signaling, interferes with the sensation of pain and results in an analgesic effect. Ultraniche-T also inhibits the reuptake of noradrenaline, which increases the levels of noradrenaline (NA), activates the inhibitory alpha-2 receptors and results in an analgesic effect.
