Qniche contains Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) which is an essential component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain responsible for different functions, among them its action as an antioxidant compound. Low CoQ10 levels are related to inflammatory processes and oxidative stress, factors implicated in atherosclerosis, obesity, nonalcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD), as well as metabolic syndrome (MS). MODE OF ACTION:
CoQ10 plays an important role in the respiratory chain, acting as an electron transporter for the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) inside the mitochondria. In its reduced form, CoQ10 acts as an antioxidant, protecting the biological membranes against oxidation, inhibiting lipid peroxidation, indirectly stabilizing the calcium channels to prevent calcium overload, and participating in the recycling of α-tocopherol.
Piperine derived from black pepper increases the plasma levels of CoQ10.
L-arginine is converted in the body into a chemical called nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to open wider for improved blood flow. L-arginine also stimulates the release of growth hormone, insulin, and other substances in the body.
Alpha Tocophero Acetate (Vitamin E) protects cells from the damaging effects of free radicals, which are molecules that consist of an unshared electron. These unshared electrons are highly energetic and react rapidly with oxygen to form reactive oxygen species (ROS).
