Halobetasol / Halobetasol, Salicylic Acid
Halobetasol is a highly potent corticosteroid. Due to its high potency, it is mainly prescribed in the treatment of severe plaque psoriasis and corticosteroid responsive dermatoses. Halobetasol in HALOCREME shows anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic & vasoconstrictive properties whereas Salicylic Acid acts as keratolytic agents and encourages exfoliation of skin and opening of the plugged follicles.
COMPOSITION:
Halocreme: Halobetasol 0.05w/w ointment
Halocreme-s: Halobetasol 0.05% w/w+ salicylic acid 6% w/w ointment
MODE OF ACTION:
Halobetasol is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Halobetasol into the skin.

Dosage
Apply on affected area twice daily
