L-Alanyl l-Glutamine
L-Alanyl l-Glutamine Infusion is an amino acid. It has potential protective and absorption-enhancing activities. Critically ill patients require adequate nutritional support to meet energy requirements both during and after intensive care unit (ICU) stay. Glutamine helps to protect against severe catabolism and prevent significant deconditioning. Glutabest is a Non-PVC, DEHP-free bag; hence, there is no plasticizer leakage. Thus, safe & convenient for the patients.
COMPOSITION:
L-Alanyl l-Glutamine Infusion 20% bag(20gm)
INDICATIONS
- ICU patients
- Cancer
- Severe Burns
- GI surgery
- Bowel obstructions
- High output fistulas
- Severe pancreatitis
Dosage
1.5-2.5 ml of Glutabest IV per kg body weight per day
Administration:
It may be administered alone or along with TPN in 1:1 ratio with NS with an infusion rate 0.5 of ml/min, the 50ml bottle to be utilized in 2 hrs, and along with carrier solution in ratio of 1:5
