N-Acetyl L-Cysteine and Simethicone
Endoeze is used for Pre endoscopic medication. An endoscopy is a procedure used in medicine to look inside the body. An upper endoscopy, also called an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, is a procedure used to visually examine upper digestive system.
Endoeze contains N-Acetyl L-Cysteine and Simethicone. N-Acetyl L-Cysteine is a mucolytic agent which breaks the mucous and allows better visualization whereas Simethicone is used as de-foaming agent to improve visualization of mucosa during endoscopic procedures.
COMPOSITION:
Each 15 ml contains N-acetyl L-cysteine 600mg and Simethicone 150mg
MODE OF ACTION:
N-Acetyl L-Cysteine: N acetyl L-cysteine break the mucous and allow better visualization and examination of intestine during endoscopy, and with the simethicone it improves visualization due to the absence of foams and bubbles.
Simethicone: Simethicone helps break up gas bubbles in the gut. Simethicone reduces surface tension, thereby allowing bubbles to coalesce and disperse. It is used to relieve symptoms of extra gas such as bloating, and feelings of pressure/discomfort in the stomach/gut.
INDICATIONS
- Upper GI (UGI) endoscopy
- Narrow band imaging (NBI) endoscopy
- Chromo endoscopy
- Capsule endoscopy
- Endoscopic ultrasound
Method and Administration
- Add water up to the bottle neck and mix well
- Drink the entire solution at once
- To be taken 20 minutes before Upper GI endoscopy procedure. Do not exceed “30 minutes” before procedure.
