MODE OF ACTION:

- Inﬂammation phase
This phase lasts for more than 4 weeks along with redness, pain & exudates. Lymphocyte and macrophages are the main acting cells in this phase but due to their large production in chronic wound, the bio burden kills the newly formed cells. +dalethyne partially inhibits the activity of NF-kB, MMP-9, COX-2 thus reducing the bio burden and accelerates ﬁbroblast proliferation. +dalethyne lessens oxidative stress and modulates expression of growth factor and inﬂammation mediators thus accelerating the healing process.
- Proliferation Phase
Fibroblast migrates to the wound and secrete proteolytic enzymes that facilitate their migration to matrix. +dalethyne inhibits the production of IL-1β & IL-6, promoting ﬁbroblast migration. +dalethyne promotes endothelial cell proliferation boosting angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. +dalethyne increases the production of growth factors.
- Remodeling phase
Growth factors are continuously produced to make scar tissue and skin elasticity. +dalethyne regulates the production of TGF- β1, so that growth factors stop after the formation of scar and not develop into hypertrophic scar tissue.
